CANOPIES & CATHEDRALS
The Chapter House was built in1286 and is one of the high points of 13th-century architecture in Britain.
It is the only octagonal chapter house to be built as a first storey on top of an undercroft, which was the
strong room' of the cathedral.
Canopies and Cathedrals is an international collaboration between West Australian artists and MPM, a UK based electronic music ensemble. An exploration of unique aspects of one of the oldest Gothic cathedrals in the world and its correspondence with the natural environment. A transdisciplinary artwork originating in Western Australia to be presented in The Chapter House at Wells Cathedral, UK
